Scows/Barges These barges are built to CCG/USCG standards. They are strong enough to carry trucks with a GVW of 49.5 tons. All our vessels are custom built. SS bitts are standard equipment. Our 44’ barges have been equipped with 4 metre-tonne cranes,10 ton net rollers and 350 HP engines. The sides, bow and stern of these vessels are armoured 100% with 1.5” plastic planks, stainless steel and aluminum. There is sufficient built-in flotation to support vessel and cargo when flooded. All our barges weigh 65% less than steel so require far less HP and fuel. Maintenance is 5% that of steel. EXAMPLES: - 44’ x 20’ x 2.5’ with 150 HP John Deere, draft 6", payload 25 tons: $138,600 CDN |

Twin-Hulled Barges Catamaran-style workboats are gaining favour world-wide for fishing boats, ferries, research etc. Barges can also benefit from this configuration. Two narrow hulls require less HP and are more sea-kindly than one wide hull. Our twin-hulled barges are easy to ship in modular sections no wider than 8’5”. EXAMPLES: - 48’ x 14’ twin-hulled barge with 1.5” thick work deck: $36,750 CDN. - 50’ x 24’ twin-diesel (150 HP x 2) with aluminum deck: $241,500 CDN. |
